Is it a good thing to refinance my house right now? It could be. It depends what your goals are. If goals are just to drop your monthly payment, then there has to be an interest rate differential that would save you the amount of money that would offset the closing costs. Or if you’re pulling cash out to do home improvements or to pay off other debts, that might make it beneficial even though your rate might be going up or staying the same.
